Hello, I had an appointment with an ophthalmologist with my child. When I called to register, my first question was whether the doctor accepted children at 6 months of age. I answered yes, the appointment was scheduled, and there was a one-month wait. I arrived with my 7-month-old child (in a carrier), informed them who I was seeing, and with whom. I filled out the child's information at the receptionist's request. The receptionist went back to the next room to continue her conversation with a colleague (complaining about patients and queues at another facility). A few minutes later, when the receptionist reappeared, I asked if payment was to be made before or after the appointment. The receptionist replied after, but she didn't really know if the doctor would accept us because they accept children from 4 years of age. I was shocked why they were only telling me now. I explained that when I made the appointment, I asked if they accepted such a young child. The receptionist said she would call the doctor and ask, but the doctor replied that she wouldn't accept. The receptionist apologized with a contemptuous expression. Lack of respect for the patient and their time. Lack of organization and communication. I think it was also a lack of competence, since seeing the child in the carrier didn't raise the alarm that he wasn't 4 years old, but younger, and we were told to wait. It was a private visit, but the treatment and medical approach were very poor.

I don't recommend it. I scheduled a private appointment three weeks in advance. A few days before the appointment, they changed the appointment time. I agreed. I live over an hour from Mielec, and while waiting in front of the building, I received a text message from the receptionist informing me that my appointment time had changed again. When I asked what I should do, the receptionist replied that I could skip it. Half a day wasted. If they're accepting appointments, they can be scheduled for the morning, and any treatments that might be extended can be scheduled for later in the day.

I've been to Carpathia Medica several times and I wholeheartedly recommend it. It's a great atmosphere, the people are friendly, and everything is handled calmly. The doctors are thorough and know what they're doing, so you don't feel like you're just another number. You don't have to wait forever for an appointment.
