  Paranoia. Over a month ago, I called to schedule a breast ultrasound and an EKG with a report. I have nothing to complain about the first test, but the second one is a joke. As a pre-surgery recommendation, I received an EKG with a report. When I called the medical center, I made this clear, making sure it was possible without a consultation—of course. How much does it cost? About 50 złoty for the test itself. Great. I had a breast ultrasound 10 days before the EKG. I went for my appointment, and everything was great. I asked for it when I got there to be sure, "October 21st." I also have an EKG here and I'd like to make sure it has a description?” I am assured once again that of course it will. My appointment was for 1:45 PM on October 21st. And it began: October 20th. A text message asking me to confirm my appointment for 2:40 PM - the appointment time had changed without any information, but okay - I decided to confirm by phone. Yes, the appointment was at 2:40 PM without any information about the time change 😆 October 21st. The day of the appointment A phone call before 12 PM says the appointment needs to be rescheduled for 4:10 PM. Okay, I can come later, I agree. I arrive and am taken to the EKG by a nice lady. The test is done, and I ask her if I'll receive a description. "Of course, the doctor will look at the results and create a description based on them. Please sit down and wait until she arrives." I sit down and am called back a moment later by The receptionist says, "How can I ask for a report when she doesn't have a consultation scheduled?" I confirm, saying I scheduled an EKG with a report, without a consultation. She says it's impossible. I say I've checked several times and present a timeline from the last month. She checks to see if I actually had the ultrasound, where I confirmed I would receive the report. The nurse says she won't provide the report because she can't. The receptionist says the cardiologist won't give me the report. So I ask how we're going to resolve this, because I need the test before my surgery, which is in a week. Confusion. Blaming the absent receptionist, mentioning her by name in front of other patients. CLASS. And that I was probably the one who checked and registered with her. And what's it to me? And the receptionist finally blurts out: You have to come in for a consultation to get a report. I agree and say I don't need an echocardiogram, so I'll just ask for a consultation. I then hear that the doctor doesn't accept consultations without an echocardiogram. It dawned on me that I'd seen two options – an ECG only or an echocardiogram, but I thought maybe that was for a different doctor 🙃 Here's a screenshot of the price list from the website, which I regret not visiting when paying for the appointment. Scam? Lack of basic customer service skills – PATIENT? Lack of organization? Lack of problem-solving skills? I don't know what to call it, but it's pathetic and below any standard expected of PRIVATE healthcare.

Thank you for the accurate diagnosis, quick scheduling of the surgery, personally performing the surgery, and providing me with the medical care I needed. He also provided me with the care I needed during my recovery, during which I am beginning to regain my previously disturbed voice.

  I highly recommend Dr. Katarzyna Smółka! I attended the appointment with my two children and am extremely satisfied. Dr. Smółka demonstrated exceptional professionalism from the very beginning.
