I booked a tartar removal appointment with the National Health Fund (NFZ) about four weeks ago (apparently the only one in Puławy) and went there today. The appointment lasted a few minutes because the dentist insisted I first had to brush my teeth before coming in, unless I paid for the sandblasting service now. If I wanted to cover it with the National Health Fund, the ultrasonic cleaning at SALUS is performed by a hygienist, not a dentist, and I should book with her next time I call to request my appointment. I told her that I brush my teeth with probably the best sonic toothbrush on the market and regularly, and that the last time was two hours ago, and I hadn't eaten anything since. But that didn't help her at all, as she scraped some leftover breakfast food from one of my teeth, which the equipment didn't completely remove. She said this in the presence of the receptionist, who was setting the terms and date of my appointment and was also about to assist me with my supposed National Health Fund-covered teeth cleaning. I said goodbye and slowly left.

Unfortunately, there's zero soundproofing in doctor's offices. Sitting in the third chair from the door, you can hear everything both the doctor and the patient are saying, which is very embarrassing, especially since one of the offices is staffed by a gynecologist.

Dr. Marcin Mizak Great doctor A warm, kind man. Even though he didn't manage my pregnancy, while in the hospital, he treated me as if he were my primary care physician. After my C-section, I developed an infection (temperature 39°C). The doctor took care of me very quickly and helped me. I highly recommend him!

The visit lasted less than 30 minutes, and tartar was removed (covered by the National Health Fund). I'm very grateful to Ms. Milena for her professional service and advice.
