  Unfortunately, my experience with one doctor was negative. While waiting to be seen on Friday, January 23rd, I informed him that I was feeling very unwell. Despite this, a patient with a scheduled appointment was seen before me. This doctor's communication style was unpleasant and made me feel disrespected as a patient. I expected a professional approach and basic respect for the patient, which was lacking in this situation. Such behavior is unacceptable in a doctor-patient relationship.

  The receptionist was rude. When I wanted to register for a referral, she flatly refused, not even listening to the situation. I asked if she could squeeze me in, only to come down for a referral in three minutes. She told me to squeeze in myself and hung up. The whole room laughed 😅😅😅

  It's getting worse, unfortunately. The next appointment with your family doctor is a week away. And they don't care that you're sick and need strong medications or a prescription. You can't go to another doctor because they can't accept patients who aren't their own. Sick! So, if you're sick and need immediate help, the motto of this facility is "wait in... or fend for yourself."

  Let me describe a situation from two weeks ago. I called the clinic this morning because I had severe abdominal pain located to the right of my belly button. I asked for an urgent appointment, as I suspected it was appendicitis. Unfortunately, the receptionist couldn't make an appointment for me because there were no available appointments with any of the doctors. It's worth considering whether the clinic doesn't employ too few doctors compared to the number of patients, as I suspect no one goes for just any trivial matter. Returning to my topic, I was only informed that the hospital had a night shift from 6 PM, and I could report there if necessary, or that I could be scheduled with my doctor in two or three days. I chose the first option. I went to the night shift, and unfortunately, or fortunately, one of the doctors at my clinic was on duty and immediately asked why I hadn't reported to the clinic but had waited until 6 PM. Of course, I explained the situation. It turned out I had acute purulent appendicitis, and I was admitted that night. I'm writing about this because I feel that sometimes clinic nurses should listen to their patients and, despite the lack of available space, do everything they can to ensure those in need can see a doctor. I was offered an appointment at the last minute. If I'd waited two or three days for an appointment, who knows if I'd be writing this today.

  Dr. Maksymilian Stęga is a truly amazing doctor, utterly professional and with a great approach to patients. It's a shame there are so few doctors like him. I live in Krakow, but I still prefer to come to Dębica because it's hard to find a doctor like Dr. Stęga. Also noteworthy is the friendly service provided by the receptionist, who is professional and always courteous to patients. Angelika S. from Krakow.
