Very helpful staff, Doc Pogońska is a doctor who wants to help people. She was doing anything to help us - and it worked well! Thanks!

I waited two years to give this opinion, to fully understand my dissatisfaction. After a visit to a gynecologist under the National Health Fund (NFZ) and blood tests, I learned that I would develop PCOS in 2023. This was caused by discontinuing contraception and obesity. I wanted to consult a truly reputable doctor on how to proceed, how to TREAT it. I didn't want to go back on contraception, as the first doctor suggested. So I went to see Professor. Reading the title "Professor" and paying around 300 złoty, I really expected a different solution. During the appointment, I learned that a healthy lifestyle wouldn't help, and contraception was the only solution. I received a prescription and paid for the appointment (I sincerely regret not filing a complaint). After returning home, I began to wonder if this was truly the only solution, so I decided to educate myself. I learned about the positive effects of supplements like inositol, a healthy lifestyle, physical activity, and a healthy diet. I decided not to buy the prescription for now. I started working with a dietitian who specializes in hormonal imbalances. We focused on weight loss and implementing the above. After two years, my periods are regulated, I'm 20 kg lighter, and my blood test results are normal. Having learned all this, I've come to the conclusion that contraception is a complete disaster. Ladies, if you have even a modicum of determination, try it with a dietitian. If it doesn't work, consider contraception as a last resort. I recommend that the professor broaden his horizons and read scientific studies to at least give his patients some options. On the plus side, a very nice office and parking spaces are available right outside the building.

I've had two visits with the "Professor" with suspected PCOS. The first visit: I was impressed. He denied my previous treatment (ordered by another doctor), and my blood was drawn during the visit. I thought to myself, "Great, informative visit, and it was worth the 500 złoty for the visit." However, after being diagnosed with HUGE PCOS, I started educating myself. I read tons of books, both scientific and journalistic, and I said, "Okay, something's not right." I really want to understand the root cause of my PCOS and start TREATMENT, not masking the symptoms. Unfortunately, the hormones the Professor prescribed were a disaster. I felt unwell, had a constant bloated stomach, and started bleeding that wasn't a period. I decided to make a second appointment with the Professor to find out why this was happening and maybe change my treatment. The doctor himself confirmed that he wasn't TREATING me, but was maintaining an artificial pregnancy, and treating me was pointless because he didn't WANT TO BE PREGNANT RIGHT NOW. But hey, I want to have children someday?! The professor said he didn't see a connection between my problems and the hormone therapy, so I had to deal with it myself. Regarding the second medication, he said I could stop taking it because I DID NOT WANT TO BE PREGNANT, but I wanted to be healthy and treated properly! Out of helplessness, I stopped taking the hormones myself, and what happened? All my problems that had appeared after starting the treatment disappeared. I consulted another doctor, and I'm truly impressed by their knowledge and willingness to help. They immediately ordered hospitalization, ran a full set of thorough tests, didn't blindly administer medications, just a specific diagnosis of the problem, which turned out to be my MAJOR PCOS, which may not necessarily be the case. Oh, and I should add that the professor didn't even find a second ovary on the ultrasound 🙃 I beg you, ladies, don't spend a million dollars on stupid diagnoses that are inaccurate. Research the matter and find qualified doctors who don't want to rip you off because, of course, you don't want to be pregnant now, so why treat you? Give the professor a wide berth and verify everything your doctor tells you!!! The professor finally said I could install their app (paid) to see how to eat with PCOS 👍🏽 Good marketing, but he added that I'm a slim girl who doesn't look like she has PCOS, but so what? It's better to blindly prescribe medication to get rid of yourself, and then when you want to have a baby, he'll rip you off even more to make it happen.

Review Regarding Dr. Paulina Pogańska: Let me start by saying that I've written maybe three negative comments in my entire life because I think everyone can have a bad day. I try to resolve issues individually before posting online, but unfortunately, in this case, I decided to write because there was no way to contact her. I went to the doctor on the recommendation of a neighbor – she was delighted – she said she had taken a great history and helped me. The reviews also confirmed this, and she's also an endocrinologist, which I desperately needed. I went. The doctor was 30 minutes late, but honestly, I wasn't surprised or upset. I came in wanting to get rid of my symptoms and get a handle on my health, as I had accumulated quite a bit. Dr. Paulina didn't interview me at all; most of the information I provided was commented on condescendingly and generally "off-topic." The doctor was in the office, but I felt like she was drifting off. She asked about my reported PCOS, but "who even told you that?" I showed her the ultrasound picture, and she said, "Oh well, it's the law of youth, that's nature" (I'm 30). She didn't ask questions or look at any of the tests I brought. Regarding my reported symptoms, the exchange went something like this: "I feel pain/there's nothing there/but it hurts, maybe I can get tests done/but why these tests? I don't see a problem/but I feel like this isn't normal/then a ton of tests would be necessary...why are these tests needed?" Finally, I'll add that regarding the condition she denied, the doctor said there are pills that help 99% of the symptoms and she'll prescribe them for me. She didn't have anything to add, the prescription would come and I could go because the system has been working for a long time. Aside from the unsteady gait and leaning on furniture, the doctor was friendly. She gave me her phone number in case anything happened. I paid 320 PLN. I didn't receive a prescription. I didn't learn anything. The problem wasn't resolved. The doctor never responded to my text message about the missing prescription. I never got through to the clinic. I won't say "I don't recommend it" - because if others have had experiences like the ones in the comments, I'm glad. I don't know what happened to Ms. Paulina that day, but I haven't been so disappointed and outraged in a long time.

Unprofessional approach and lack of results – I do not recommend! My recent visit with Dr. Paulina Pogońska was very disturbing. From the very beginning, I had the feeling that something was wrong – her behavior seemed unnatural, and her manner of speaking and movements suggested she might be intoxicated. The visit was chaotic, and I did not feel comfortable or adequately cared for. In addition, I still haven't received the results of my Pap smear, which is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of professionalism. Every patient deserves reliable care and the assurance that tests are conducted according to standards. I strongly advise against visiting this doctor and suggest that the facility review her practice. Such situations should not occur in healthcare!
