  I spent three days in the General Surgery Department and I was incredibly impressed. 🙂 Everyone, from the cleaning staff to Mr. Cherif, are absolutely fantastic people. ♥️ I can't count how many times after the procedure I was asked if it hurt and if they needed anything for the pain. 🥰 I felt very comfortable in this department.   My son ended up in the ER with a broken finger. The service was good, including an X-ray and professionalism from the doctor, Mr. Adam Kocur. The only downside was the long wait time… almost 6 hours.

  I'm so grateful to Dr. Hanna Orechwo from the Internal Medicine Department for her wonderful approach to an elderly and very ill person. My mother is elderly, with vascular dementia and cancer. The doctor has a wonderful approach to both the patient and the caregiver. She doesn't judge, doesn't criticize, but heals. Thank you again for your care and treatment of my mother.

  The patient presented to the Emergency Department in Żnin twice due to recurrent chest pain. In both cases, he was discharged with a diagnosis of gastroesophageal reflux disease, without a full cardiological evaluation! The patient's clinical symptoms (chest pain, paroxysmal in nature, lack of improvement with antispasmodic medications, hypertension) required differentiation from acute coronary syndrome. Laboratory test results during the initial hospitalization indicated an elevated troponin T level (18.7 ng/L, with a normal range of up to 14 ng/L). This is a significant marker of myocardial damage and should prompt further evaluation for myocardial ischemia. Despite the clear symptoms and test results, no cardiological evaluation was performed (no mention of repeated troponin tests, ECG monitoring, or cardiologist consultation). The patient was discharged twice without protective measures, which exposed him to significant health and life-threatening risks! Further course of action: Only thanks to the intervention of the family physician and the patient's referral to University Hospital No. 2 named after Dr. Jan Biziel in Bydgoszcz was proper diagnostic workup performed. A coronary angiogram revealed critical stenosis of the LAD artery (95% flow, TIMI 2), which required urgent angioplasty and stent placement. Conclusions: The conduct of the District Hospital in Żnin is reprehensible. The symptoms and test results indicating a possible acute coronary syndrome were downplayed. The patient was discharged twice without life-saving diagnostics. This situation indicates serious diagnostic and organizational deficiencies that could have led to the patient's death. Not to mention that patients who need an ambulance pray not to be sent to the hospital in Żnin. Unfortunately, they have no choice when coming from nearby villages, for example, because it is the closest hospital. I'm asking the hospital management to inspect the emergency department. I also wanted to mention that we're considering filing a complaint with the National Health Fund. Check the results and seek the opinion of other doctors, because this hospital can only lead to death, not save lives.
