The gynecology ward leaves much to be desired. They show zero interest in their patients. A stay there is a waste of time. They act indiscriminately, without looking for the cause of the problem. They can take your blood pressure while criticizing you for why you're even there. These days, however, people are looking for a warmer atmosphere. Something's clearly not working there. In this particular case, the kind and helpful midwives are the ones who saved the situation. I think doctors could learn a lesson from these women. Some people should reconsider their brazen behavior. A fish rots from the head down, but the patients aren't to blame.

A few words about the Endocrinology Department. I've been to the department twice now, and I can confidently say and assure you that, besides the fact that patients don't have to starve because the food is delicious and varied, and there's something for vegetarians, it's warm, clean, and tidy, and above all, the people who work there are wonderful. I thank the entire team, starting with the Professor, the wonderful, empathetic, and warm Dr. Agnieszka Będkowska-Szczepańska, and Dr. Anna Piętka-Rzycka, MD, for their care and complete commitment to the patient. I sincerely thank and bow low to the nurses who accompany patients on the department day and night, always offering assistance and a kind approach. I wouldn't wish illness on anyone, but if you do end up in Endocrinology, the Municipal Hospital in Piekary Śląskie definitely meets all the requirements. Thank you again! Best regards, Ewa G.

In January 2026, I had surgery to remove the left lobe of my thyroid along with the tumor. I can wholeheartedly recommend the endocrinology department and its staff, led by Dr. Truchanowski. Before the surgery, I was thoroughly prepared by the doctors and anesthesiologist. I have no complaints; Dr. Truchanowski is a true physician. The nurses are very kind and helpful, including the orderlies and even the women who keep the department clean. The food is good; after all, it's a hospital, not a hotel. Thank you all so much for your care.

I had a cesarean section in July, and the team in the operating room was truly fantastic, but it only got worse afterward. After the surgery, the nurse who was caring for me almost argued with me. She asked my husband to leave after 15 minutes in the room, where I really needed him, because my mental state had deteriorated significantly. She told him to come during visiting hours. In the morning, they'll shoo you out to shower and you'll have to fend for yourself. The midwife, who emphasized breastfeeding, forced the baby to the breast, made a rude comment under her breath, and actually discouraged breastfeeding, making the mother cry. The baby wasn't even bathed before leaving the hospital, nor was she shown how to change a diaper. Is Piekarska Porodówka worth recommending? I sincerely doubt it; I think there are many better hospitals to choose from. The food and the gynecologists are positives.

I only stayed in the Gynecology and Obstetrics ward for two days. I can say that I met a fantastic team (doctors, nurses, and attendants). The people were wonderful. The food was delicious and plentiful ;) It only confirmed my belief that I want to give birth there. I just hope that the change in the head doctor and medical staff won't negatively impact the reception of this place ;)
