  I'm writing this review after a very difficult experience with my father's hospitalization. My elderly father was admitted to the ER in Otwock with a confirmed case of influenza, which the paramedics were informed of. Despite this, the ER did not administer antiviral treatment, and the wait for help was very long. During his stay, sepsis was suspected, but antibiotics were not administered. My father was at high risk for complications, including pneumonia, which was not diagnosed in the ER. The pneumonia was diagnosed only later, in another ward. There, however, there was no information that my father had influenza, even though it had been diagnosed earlier. This indicates a lack of proper communication of medical information and continuity of treatment. Furthermore, the hospital in Otwock does not have an intensive care unit, requiring patients in serious condition to be transported to other hospitals. Such transport can significantly impact the prognosis and course of treatment for elderly and life-threatening patients, which was also important in this situation. After being transported to another hospital, my father died...

  I went to the District Hospital in Otwock for my delivery and was pleasantly surprised from the very first moment. The ward is newly renovated, well-maintained, and truly friendly, and the entire staff was incredibly kind and professional from the moment I walked in. My delivery ended with a cesarean section, which was performed perfectly by a team of young, competent doctors. Throughout the entire procedure, I felt completely cared for – by both the anesthesiologist and the gynecologist, who ensured my comfort, complete safety, and peace of mind. Postpartum care was also top-notch. The midwives and nurses are true angels – caring, understanding, and always willing to help. The entire team deserves a huge award. This was my second pregnancy and second delivery, so I can wholeheartedly recommend the hospital in Otwock – especially compared to the facility in Warsaw where I gave birth to my first child. Here, I truly felt cared for in a way that even a private clinic would be proud of. I'm incredibly grateful to the entire staff for their care, support, and for helping me bring my healthy, beautiful daughter into the world. ❤️ I wholeheartedly recommend them!

  I have been a patient in the gynecology ward since January 18th and would like to sincerely thank the entire staff for their care. The nurses demonstrated tremendous professionalism, empathy, and commitment – ​​I felt cared for and safe throughout my stay. I also extend special thanks to the students, Mr. Kuba and Ms. Natalia (dark hair), who visited the ward on January 19th. Their approach, manners, and commitment are highly commendable – it's clear they approach their profession with passion and respect for their patients. Thank you for the professional care, help, and support. I wholeheartedly recommend this ward!

  The child was admitted to the Pediatrics Ward on Saturday. The child's condition was good, and since yesterday, the child almost suffocated because he was deprived of oxygen. A day has passed, and they still don't know what happened or why. After all my interventions, they refuse to explain or show me the child's documentation regarding the medications administered. The child is on oxygen. I can't take the child to Międzylesie because the documents have been issued because they need to check what happened. The child is on oxygen and an IV drip, with eight inhalations a day. I've now been to the doctor to ask what's next. They're waiting for the test results after a week. Due to the lack of comfort, I asked to be moved so I could lie with the child on oxygen and an IV drip. As you know, he's 1.5 years old, all I have left is a chair and my arms to keep the child from getting oxygen. I asked about the bed, and they told me to write to Owsiak, saying he's a sponsor and he'll bring me one. I personally laughed at the doctor, saying I could buy one for home. The child only had a cough and a runny nose on admission. I thought the hospital was ready for work, that it had been renovated, that people had changed, that's why I came here with my child, but I was wrong and it's even worse...Józef Jaroszewski

  The hospital at Batorego 44 was established in 1964. I was admitted with chest pain and numbness in my left arm. There was no waiting list and the receptionist wasn't very nice. The woman performed the shortest ECG of my life – it lasted about 5-10 seconds. The doctor took a more professional approach and ordered me to the ward and run additional tests (blood). After three hours, I was released with the words, "You're as fit as a rooster on a pasture." I was surprised that during my entire stay, they never once took my blood pressure or disconnected me from the IV, which had run out two hours earlier, and instead told me to walk around with it in my hand. 😳 Summary: The current hospital's Night and Holiday Medical Assistance (NPL) is working, maybe not brilliantly, but – what pay, what work. Another downside – expensive parking: 4 PLN/hour (20 minutes free). The hospital is well-maintained, clean, and equipped with new medical equipment and undergoing ongoing department modernization. The hospital has seven departments: surgery, internal medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, neonatology, pediatrics, neurological rehabilitation, and intensive care.
