  Dear mother of God help all the people that enter that emergency. If I could give this hospital a negative star...... While on vacation in Przemysl, my 80 year old mom had a severe fall about 2 weeks ago, ambulance was called and she was taken to an ER department to check for any fractures. If anyone has ever watched a horror movie taking place in hospital, this place is it! Let's start, the paramedics were amazing and so were the ladies in reception. Then, once in a treatment room, that's when things were somewhat no so good. The doctor couldn't focus on his patient, kept checking his phone, talking to other teammates about unrelated topic to the patient. I have seen first class patient abuse which was appalling. The yelling at patients, the rough handling of a very elderly (maybe 90Year old)lady, essentially being dropped quickly by releasing the bed pedal. The total disregard for a mentally ill patient with severe head trauma, the patient that could only do sign language. He was being yelled at and refused to be given a paper and pen to express himself. Absolute disregard! The nurses from hell that forced another elderly patient with a dislocated shoulder to stand up from a lying down position (her daughter had to do their job-while the nurse was standing by and just watching. I have made a video on my cell phone to prove it) The poor lady on chemo that had to roll herself out of bed on her own, while the so called nurse just stood by watching, not lifting a finger. In the 5 or so hours I have been there, I have seen the total disregard or lack of compassion for the sick and the elderly and for the precious life in general. I am disgusted and appalled by what I have seen and I cannot unsee. All I can say, if there is any chance to avoid this hospital, please do. Oh and now back home in "North America", my mom does not have a broken hand, she was misdiagnosed by an incompetent doctor, and a terrible x ray technician that needs to go and work somewhere else where she doesn't have the contact with patients, who she asks to strip down in front of standing male in a room corner. Disgusting!!!. (this is another sensitive horror story my mom had to go through with her) Awful!

  This review concerns the gynecology and obstetrics ward. Although the ward enjoys a good reputation and is very popular, I disagree with the majority. I was referred to the hospital by my attending physician, whom I had seen privately several times. The diagnosis was a miscarriage, a miscarriage. He made it clear that if nothing happened within two weeks, they would resolve my problem on the ward, and it would take a maximum of three days. I waited patiently and then went to the hospital. After the first examination, I was disappointed with their handling of the situation. Even though the ultrasound confirmed the pregnancy wasn't progressing, the doctor said they needed their test results. He didn't even bother to look at the medical records I had with me. I don't know why they question the reliability of tests performed at other facilities. I told him that if such were the procedures, I'd wait two days – after that time, I was supposed to repeat the test. I wanted to get home (to my son) as soon as possible and relieve the mental burden I'd been carrying for a long time. The doctors knew this well. My beta had dropped, so they knew in black and white that the pregnancy had stalled, and time was working against me. What happened? The day the head doctor promised me he would make a decision on my case, he didn't show up for work. The day before, I'd been told by my attending physician, "I have to attack the head doctor because only he can make decisions in such matters." Is this serious? I was supposed to beg him on my knees not to risk my health? Both of them behaved outrageously. When I received my test results, I went to the doctor's office hoping someone would tell me what to do next, but the doctors kept referring me from one to another. Finally, I managed to speak with a doctor who had almost nothing to do with my case. She said they wouldn't keep me in the hospital, and if I wanted, I could go to the head doctor and ask for a procedure. It sounded like they were doing me a favor. In the meantime, I learned that the head doctor was planning a vacation. The instructions included a note that said, "If you experience any alarming symptoms, please report to the ward." But I was on the ward and was referred there for delivery. I don't understand why no other doctor could have made the decision to terminate the pregnancy. It was a terrible time for me, and the head doctor only said, "It would be best if everything resolved itself." Of course it did, but I had a missed miscarriage and there was no indication that any symptoms would occur. Infection would have set in more quickly. How long was I supposed to live and function with a stillborn pregnancy? I wouldn't wish this on any woman. Especially since I received immediate help after changing hospitals. And even though the head doctor wasn't there, the doctor had no problem getting started. The entire staff was very concerned about what was happening at the Przemyśl hospital. If a woman went into labor, would they also have waited for the head doctor to deliver the baby? It's a shame that a licensed doctor is so dependent on the decisions of his boss. It's a shame that in a private practice, he didn't hesitate to charge for a visit. I respect doctors and medical staff, but I can't remain silent about such matters. This situation has had a significant impact on my health. And I won't hesitate to say that the only people maintaining the standard of care in gynecology are the midwives. I received support from them, and it was clear they felt helpless in the face of such situations. Doctors only care about mothers giving birth successfully to boost their statistics. They don't care about the rest of their patients. Unless, of course, women go for private appointments and get help from doctors. In my case, even that didn't work. Ladies, if you find yourself in a similar situation (which, of course, I wouldn't wish on anyone), steer clear of this hospital. It's a waste of time and health. I'm not criticizing the work of midwives and medical professionals, but if I can, I'd like to warn you. People, a little more empathy and understanding for your patients! A doctor's degree isn't everything.

  I stayed at the St. Padre Pio Provincial Hospital in Przemysł between December 2025 and January 2026. I underwent a very serious heart bypass surgery and other procedures that resulted from the subsequent treatment process. I am immensely grateful to Dr. Krzysztof Olszewski, Head of the Department, Dr. Piotr Janusiewicz, Dr. Marcin Malinowski, and the entire team of cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, vascular surgeons, and nurses for saving my life and health, for their care, empathy, and commitment to my treatment. I have particularly fond and warm memories of Ms. Agnieszka, Ms. Sabinka, Ms. Basia, and many other women who showed me kindness, understanding, and care. I would also like to thank my rehabilitation specialist, Mr. Piotr, with whom I have developed a very good relationship. From the very beginning, he provided me with a wealth of guidance, advice, and warmth during this difficult time of recovery. My entire immediate family would like to thank the doctors for their always cordial and comprehensive information about the course of my illness. I must emphasize that the entire unit is modernly equipped. It includes an operating theater, and all the rooms are beautiful, modern, and clean. It must be admitted that the funds of the provincial authorities have been well invested in this unit, which is so vital to patients. A grateful patient from Mielec
