I don't recommend this place at all. My wife went on 3 detailed prenatal scans in this place. They were not able to recognize CDH (which can be detected as early as 11 weeks in pregnancy) for my kid. For those who don't know; this is a rare case (1/5000 babies) with high morbidity rate if not treated immediately/carefully after birth. Doctors may even recommend termination of pregnancy to save mothers. We had all the reports saying that diaphragm and lung development is fine by them, with their doctors' signature under. All things aside; we had to wait 45 min - 1 hour in all of our visits (scheduled at a time) when we get there. If I'm paying you 600+ PLN per visit, I expect 600+ PLN diagnosis and service. Long story short; stay away from this place. You have better chances at getting diagnosed for birth defects at Luxmed, even at NFZ.

Appointment: first pregnancy, first prenatal screening. I chose this clinic as one of the best-rated in Wrocław. The receptionists were very kind and courteous, and the blood test went smoothly and without any issues. However, the procedure with Dr. Piec was very disappointing. The test was delayed by an hour – we weren't informed, but we had booked enough time, so the delay wasn't surprising. The test itself lasted about 17 minutes in total and was fast-paced. The doctor didn't explain the test or the results in real time; many of the comments were muttered under his breath and incomprehensible to my husband and I. We tried to listen to what the doctor was saying on the video recording my husband took during the visit, but it was impossible. During the test, when I spontaneously became emotional and reacted to the baby's movements, the doctor said, "Please don't laugh, or he'll leave the ultrasound machine and you'll have to check it yourselves." The comment was meant to be a joke, but the situation was stressful. Additionally, the doctor repeatedly expressed his frustration with the delay and the children's lack of cooperation today, hence the hour-long delay. At the end of the examination, everything was confirmed to be normal. The doctor threw a few sheets of paper on my belly without a word, and the question about determining the gender was dismissed with the words, "Is it too early?" And we already have the information, so it's not. The doctor simply didn't even check it because he was rushing through tests to perform. He didn't want to bother with the ultrasound again. For comparison, a friend of mine went to the same facility with a different doctor. The examination lasted about an hour, the doctor took the time to discuss the results, determined the baby's gender (a week earlier than mine), and provided a 3D preview. The visit was calm, pleasant, and everything was explained. Hence, I made an appointment at the same facility. And I'm hugely disappointed. In other private clinics in Wrocław (and I've been to many), and even during my visits under the National Health Fund (NFZ), I haven't encountered such a quick and distant approach to the patient – in my case, I felt like the patient was being "on the conveyor belt," without a fully human touch. In summary, I cannot recommend a visit to Dr. Piec, especially for the first prenatal examination, which is an important and emotional experience for the patient. I'm on hold, and my husband and I deeply regret this choice. However, there will be no further visits with him.

Two tests, both delayed by over an hour. Being informed of the delay 10 minutes before the appointment doesn't help. The approach to the patient is reminiscent of communist Poland. If you want to see a doctor, take the day off and wait…
