  I would like to wholeheartedly praise the Pregnancy Pathology Department. From the moment I arrived at the hospital, the response was quick and professional, giving me a tremendous sense of security. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful—I could always count on support, kind words, and concern for my health. The meals were delicious, and the care was top-notch. I extend a special thank you to Dr. Mackiewicz—she is a true angel. Her calm, empathy, and thoroughness during examinations made me feel cared for and at peace during this difficult time. I highly recommend this department to every expectant mother—you can feel truly safe and well-cared for here.

  I was pleasantly surprised by the care and the hospital staff. I can wholeheartedly recommend the pregnancy pathology, obstetrics, and neonatology departments. I was admitted to the emergency room with an emergency – preeclampsia. At every stage, I was thoroughly informed about my condition, and the doctors were very patient and understanding. Every effort was made to prepare my body and my baby for labor. After the premature birth, I received excellent care and was able to start breastfeeding. The staff were very patient and understanding, and the support of the neonatology staff, even in the middle of the night, meant I could provide my baby with even the smallest amounts of milk. Despite the difficult situation, I am delighted to say that my milk supply has been maintained and, thanks to this, I can continue to provide my baby with milk. During stressful or difficult moments, the midwives were immediately available and willing to talk to me and reassure me. I'm truly grateful for that; it was unheard of. Compared to my previous pregnancy and delivery, this clinic is invaluable. Comfortable and spacious rooms, even the operating rooms, are all on one level, making it easy to move around even in poor condition. I can only praise this facility, starting with the sutures placed after my cesarean section, which are among the newest available, and ending with the bed in the room, which was automatic and very helpful when getting up and activating after surgery. From what I saw, the ward also has very good food, even by 'hospital' standards. There are no problems with dietary choices. Students are present, but if someone needs to be absent during a ward round or examination, this is respected. I recommend it!

  I am and will be grateful to this place forever. My difficult pregnancy, my third cesarean section, a very difficult surgery. They undertook it here. They worked hard. The care before and after the cesarean section was exemplary. The neonatologists, midwives, doctors, surgeons... all excellent. The anesthesiologist was reassuring and joking during the surgery. We need places like this.

  I highly recommend UCK Katowice. I was in a difficult situation due to fetal problems detected late in my pregnancy. I went through the pregnancy pathology department, the obstetrics department, and finally the neonatology department. I received a lot of support everywhere. I've never experienced such a warm approach from the staff. The care is of a very high standard. As for the students, they do attend, but honestly, it didn't bother me. I didn't feel any intrusiveness. The hospital itself is very modern, and the equipment is also excellent. A bonus is the opportunity to receive psychological support and a physiotherapist. I was pleasantly surprised.

  #2024 My stay in the gynecology ward unfortunately left me with mixed feelings. The most negative impression was the attitude of some of the senior midwives – their attitude towards patients was cold, at times downright discouraging. I had the impression that they didn't have time for basic patient care or simply didn't want to care for them. This is particularly concerning in situations where neglect could lead to complications – and such a risk, unfortunately, is often ignored. Poor manners and a lack of empathy can make new mothers feel additionally stressed and left to their own devices. The attitude of the cleaning staff also leaves much to be desired – pointing out to postpartum women that they have too much stuff and should put it away is not only inappropriate but also completely out of touch with reality. It's difficult to expect a new mother to be able to care for a newborn without access to the necessary items. On the plus side, the ward itself is neat and tidy, and the facilities are excellent. The dedication of the junior midwives, who strive to be helpful and friendly, is also evident. The meals are also commendable – delicious and served regularly – and the doctors' punctuality, which is not always a given in a hospital environment. I also highly recommend the work of the midwives and doctors in the labor and delivery suite – their professional approach, kindness, and support at such an important time are commendable. In summary, the ward has great potential, but it requires a significant change in the senior staff's approach to patients. There are many labor and delivery wards in the area with impeccable reviews; perhaps they're worth taking a look at...
